The Revolution Was Televised

I asked for this book and got it for Xmas. Read it cover to cover (except for the "24" chapter because that was the one show I have not seen the whole series of and there are spoilers). Yes, read nearly 400 pages in one day.

I loved this book. It was well written, interesting, entertaining, etc. But, more than anything, it was special to feel part of something that was being celebrated well. The interplay of private/small/me and public/big/community was delicious...validating.

I loved feeling like I was seeing old friends (I have seen, or will see in the case of two series still ongoing, every episode of 11 out of 12 shows he wrote about)...there was an emotional resonance in remembering and thinking about these shows again that caught me my surprise, and I found it utterly delightful.

This book was self-published and I also loved supporting that effort.

✩ ✩✩✩✩ = it was amazing
